Seminar 1: The Islamic Threat-Myth or Reality?
7pm Saturday 12 June 2010
This seminar is based on the history and the fundamental teachings of Islam, which, if practiced by Muslims with the original intention of Islam, is not a threat but rather leads to a peaceful co-existence of both Muslims and non-Muslims in any part of the world. The talk will speak of several destructive human behaviours in the world and will encourage Muslims and non-Muslims to collaboratively develop a society which is progressive and suitable to modern times. At the same time, this approach will encourage any person to become an ethical, practictioner of non-violence and produce educated Muslims who are respected in a non-Muslim Society, thereby giving an opportunity to the non-Muslim world to understand Islam as a peaceful religion and as providing viable solutions to significant problems that exist in the modern world.
Seminar 2: Who is the Most Influential Person in History?
7pm Sunday 13 June 2010
This seminar is an introduction to the many significant roles of the Prophet Muhammad, including philosopher, orator, apostle, legislator, conqueror of ideas, restorer of teachings of a religion without any image, founder of twenty political empires and one spiritual empire. The talk will explore the life of Prophet Muhammad, demonstrating the exemplary life that he lived and highlighting the noble features of his character and his morals values, as affirmed by prominent non-Muslims
